Automated Spotting Robot
for Multi-Array SPR
iMSpot
iMSpot, developed by icluebio specifically for SPR sensor chips, enables precise and customizable ligand immobilization using automated spotting.
As a pin-type spotter, iMSpot uses a capillary hole to uptake ligand solution and deposit it on designated positions of the sensor chip, with spot size determined by the pin diameter.

Step 1. Uptake solution
The pin moves to the ligand solution well and absorbs less than 1 μL of the solution via capillary action.
Step 2. Spotting
After absorbing the ligand solution, the pin moves to the user-defined position on the sensor chip to perform spotting.
The spot size is determined by the diameter of the pin’s capillary.
Each loaded pin can perform multiple spotting actions—up to 10 spots per loading.
Step 3. Pin washing
Step 3-1. Residual solution inside the capillary is removed using a vacuum pump.
Step 3-2. The pin, including the capillary, is washed with distilled water.
Step 3-3. Suction and rinsing are repeated 2–3 times for thorough cleaning.
